On June, 20th, the “ The Mountain, the River and the People ” photography exhibition will be held at Jianeng Communicting Space in Xidan, Beijing. The photos shown in this exhibition were taken by three young photographers in Yichang ------ Chen Wen, Li Ming and Song Ge. It’s the first photography exhibition in Yichang which was hold in Beijing.
The “ The Mountain, the River and the People ” photography exhibition faithfully recorded and restored the great historical changes and civil life by the special visual angle and image language of three photographer living in the Three Gorges. While the exhibition is making its way out of the traditional pattern of the Three Gorges photo-taking, it creates a truthful and special image text of the civil life. The photography exhibition has its original features and big social and cultural values.
Mr. Huang Yihuang, a famous photography critic in China, is the planner of “ The Mountain, the River and the People ”. He also wrote the prologue for the exhibition. Mr. Huang Yihuang said: “The three photo groups of the three photographers have created three visual thresholds about the Three Gorges. Those visual thresholds’ points are sometimes interlaced, sometimes in parallel; there clues, three profiles. Through such clues and profiles, we’ll be able to see the past and future of those people who lived or will be living in the Three Gorges and the self-conscious of the three photographers who are concerning about the changing natural and cultural landscape and the state of human life.”
The world-renowned brand Jianeng opens a 600m2 professional exhibiton hall for “ The Mountain, the River and the People ” in Jianeng Communicting Space which is Jianeng ’s flagship exhibiton hall in northern China. The company adopted the world's most advanced ink-jet printing technology to output all the exhibition works. It is learned that during the exhibiton, many professional arts and media institutions will come and have an interaction with the three photographers and audiences in Beijing. Those institutions including Chinese Photographers Society, CAFA ( Central Academy of Fine Arts ), Xinhua news agency, "Beijing Daily", "Beijing News", 798 Arts Troupe. The exhibition will continue until early July and will later be held in Shanghai and Guangzhou.
